Support
We usually reply within 2 business days.
To help us help you faster, include your iOS version, the app version, and what you were doing when the problem happened.
Managing your subscription
Subscriptions are billed through Apple, so they are managed in iOS Settings, not in the app:
- Open Settings on your iPhone.
- Tap your name at the top.
- Tap Subscriptions.
- Select Pumpa to change plan or cancel.
Cancelling stops future renewals — you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for. If you cancel during a free trial, you keep access until the trial ends and are never charged.
Refunds
Apple handles all refunds for App Store purchases. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com using the Apple account you bought with.
Restoring a purchase
If you reinstalled the app or switched devices and your subscription isn't showing, make sure you are signed in with the same Apple account you purchased with, then tap Restore purchases on the paywall screen. If you have an offer code, you can redeem it there too.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account and all your data from inside the app — open Account from the Workout tab and choose Delete account. See the account deletion page for full details.
Common questions
Do I need training experience?
No. Pumpa matches you to a program built for the training history you give during onboarding, and every exercise has a technique video and written instructions. Start lighter than you think you need, learn the movement, then add weight.
What equipment do I need?
During onboarding you tell the app what you have access to — a full gym, a smaller setup or a home rack — and it only matches you to programs you can run with that equipment. If a machine is taken, use Replace on the exercise to swap in one that hits the same muscle group.
What if I miss a training day?
Just pick the program back up on your next gym day. Rest days don't break your streak — the streak tracks that you keep showing up across the week, not that you train every single day. You can also use Switch workout to move a different day's session to today.
How does the leaderboard work, and what can others see?
The leaderboard ranks members by workouts logged and current streak. Other members can see your display name (from your Apple or Google account), your workout count and your streak — nothing else. Details are in the Privacy Policy.
How does the PR Cam work?
Open the PR Cam tab, enter the weight (and optionally the exercise) you're going for, and record the attempt. When you stop, the app draws the record over the last few seconds of the clip. You can then share it to Instagram Stories or save it to Photos. The clip is processed entirely on your phone and never uploaded to us. The camera, microphone and photo-library permissions are only used for this and for the pump pic on share cards.
Why doesn't the PR Cam show the overlay while I'm recording?
By design — the overlay is drawn onto the end of the clip after you stop, so what you film is a clean take. The preview shows a countdown to when the overlay lands.
Are the calorie numbers exact?
No — they are estimates derived from your training volume, meant for a rough sense of the session, not for medical or nutrition decisions.
Does Pumpa sync with Apple Health?
Not yet. The app does not currently read from or write to Apple Health.
Where is my data stored?
Your account, profile and daily workout summaries are in an encrypted database hosted by Supabase, readable only by your own authenticated account. The individual sets you log, your saved workouts and your preferences stay on your iPhone. Details are in our Privacy Policy.
